a poem inspired by my favorite thing, friendship:

I once had a friendship that took 14 years to make.

At first, all I did, I did with him.
We were inseperable.

Then came the time to make a choice,
"forget about him, find your own voice!" (they'd say)

We parted ways on that bleek fall day,
I left him there at starbucks wishing for more words to say.

Times went on and so did we,
but NOT apart, for you see it was destiny.

Upon reflection he's my greatest human connection.

I don't know why and I don't know how,
But when it comes to us, I never doubt.

Cause if I lose what I have with him,
there'll be no one there through my thick and thin.

In earthly terms there is no price,
to have a friend for all your life.

(to a friend that will never know this exists)

love, Wes

Wes, it's cool to see you and your brother posting stuff. Kristine and I saw your dad at "The loft" yesterday, and Kristine couldn't believe how it felt like we were walking inside of your Dad's mind (as only he could help to put something so awesome together).

Pat showed me around the building as well, but I was bummed to not hear Brady play drums as Pat had to run sound...

anyway - happy blogging.
